South Korean telecoms operators KT Corp and SK Telecom are interested in the Polish mobile market, according to reports.
Possible targets would be Poland’s fourth mobile operator, Play, whose shareholders have recently announced they were looking for new investors, or Polkomtel as both Orlen and PGE have expressed their willingness to divest their stake in the mobile operator.
SK Telecom is reportedly particularly looking at entering the mobile internet market country.
Korea Telecom was already present in the Polish market in the 1990s when it owned 30% of paging company Telepage.
