Nordic telco Tele2 has appointed Caroline Fellenius-Omnell as general counsel after Jonas Bengtsson was poached last year by larger rival TeliaSonera.
Fellenius-Omnell, who holds the same role at Swiss liquid packaging firm Sidel, will assume her new position on 1 May.
Before Sidel, she was general counsel for Europe at France’s Tetra Pak, a food processing and packaging solutions company.
Tele2 CEO Mats Granryd highlighted Fellenius-Omnell’s “extensive international experience from several different industries and EU and competition law”.
The telco will also see its new CFO Allison Kirkby start on 1 May.
Last month it hired ABG Sundal Collier Holding to strategically review assets in Norway after failing to pick up extra 4G frequencies in the country’s latest spectrum auction.
The company said its options include a sale, entering into a strategic partnership, or continuing to grow Tele2 Norway organically.
