Roshi Motman, who most recently worked for Tele2 Sweden, will head Millicom’s Ghanaian operations, Tigo Ghana, as of 1 April.
She will replace Adil El Youssefi as general manager, Millicom said.
Roshi has spent the past ten years with various companies in which Kinnevik, the Swedish investor group, has stakes. Kinnevik also holds 38% of Millicom shares and owns 48% of voting rights in Tele2.
At Tele2, Roshi held different management roles, covering product management, sales, and most recently customer operations.
Before that, she has worked for Modern Times Group.
Millicom said that Adil El Youssefi is leaving to take up a senior role outside the group, without elaborating.
Millicom plans to appoint a deputy general manager for Ghana in due course.
