The shareholders in Portuguese cable operator Zon Multimedia, have according to OJE votes to approve the proposed stake sale of 14 million company shares to Kento Holding.
The 14 million shares corresponds to some 4.5% of the cableco’s equity and the shares were reportedly sold off at a price of E5.3 each, valuing the stake at E74.23m.
Kento Holding is owned by Angolan president Jose Eduardo dos Santos’ daughter Isabelle dos Santos. Kento is said to be seeking a 10% stake in the company, buying also Cinveste’s 3% stake and Caixa Geral de Depositos Bank’s 2.5% stake.
