Videocon has submitted a bid for April’s 3G mobile spectrum auction, sans Mumbai and Delhi.
The firm, which operates under the Datacom moniker, is also seeking a foreign partner for its 3G operations and is thought to be communion with US and European firms for a tie up.
Morgan Stanley is advising the firm in its quest for a foreign partner.
Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Etisalat DB India Telecom and S-Tel will all participate in the auction process. However, Unitech Wireless, the JV between Unitech and Telenor, will not participate.
