Ooredoo (DSM:ORDS) has promoted Bertrand Alexis to chief corporate affairs officer and acting general counsel. He replaces Michael Hancock, who the company said had resigned.
Alexis, who has been senior director of M&A at the Qatari incumbent since 2009, assumed his new duties on 4 October, the company announced in a stock market filing today.
He was previously general counsel at Ooredoo Myanmar, according to his LinkedIn profile, which also listed past roles at Cable & Wireless, Nortel and Alcatel.
According to Hancock’s LinkedIn profile, he is now a telecoms consultant based in San Francisco.
