Polish fixed-line operator Telefonia Dialog launched its MVNO today, using Polkomtel’s network.
The mobile operator, which trades under the Diallo name, targets mainly
existing Dialog’s customers.
State-owned copper miner KGHM had long been looking at divesting loss-making Telefonia Dialog and initially it planned to list the operator. However, unfavourable market conditions have repeatedly prevented an IPO. KGHM CEO Herbert Wirth was recently quoted saying that a trade sale would be favoured to listing.
Last month, Netia’s CEO Miroslaw Godlewski was quoted saying that his company would be interested in Dialog.
