The Brazilian postal service has reportedly said that it will launch an MVNO next year to add a new source of revenue as its traditional business declines.
According to a report in newspaper Brasil Economico, the president of the postal service (Correios) announced the plan but did not provide more specific details as the business model is still being analysed.
The local MVNO is small, with just Porto Seguro planning to start an MVNO in the second half of 2012.
The French postal service La Poste started an MVNO in May.
