US satellite/terrestrial venture LightSquared is in preliminary talks to buy 4G network capacity with AT&T, reports Bloomberg.
It would reportedly involve LightSquared paying to use AT&T’s network when it required additional capacity.
LightSquared has pushed back the roll-out of its own LTE network until early 2012, as concerns grow that the company’s technology interferes with the crucial GPS system.
In recent months, LightSquared has announced roaming agreements with SI Wireless and Leap Wireless.
AT&T and LightSquared declined to comment.
