Israeli mobile operator Mirs Communications has reportedly blocked local rival Golan Telecom from deploying its network infrastructure.
Mirs and Golan were awarded their first 3G licences this year, but both signed agreements with European vendor Nokia Siemens Networks to roll out their networks, reported local daily Globes.
The report suggests NSN will sell equipment to Golan but will stop short of deploying its network, with Mirs being given the priority for both equipment and infrastructure.
Mirs reportedly had to give its initial consent for the agreement between Golan and NSN to go ahead, but it is unclear how the two deals will co-exist.
NSN declined to comment, and neither operator was able to comment before the press deadline.
