Asim Ghosh has entered negotiations to sell his 2.39% stake in Indian mobile operator Vodafone Essar.
Max India chairman, Analijit Singh is in line to acquire the stake from Ghosh, a former managing director of the company.
In December 2009 Ghosh sold a 2.29% stake in Vodafone Essar to Singh for around US$72.6m, via the businessmen’s respective companies AG Mercantile and Scorpio Beverages.
