China Mobile executive Li Xiangdong has been detained by the Chinese authorities after going missing with hundreds of millions of Chinese Yuan, according to a report in the 21st Century Business Herald.
Li, who was based in the Sichuan province and in charge of China Mobile’s wireless music platform, apparently either siphoned money from the company directly into his bank account or took kickbacks from service and content providers doing business with China Mobile.
