Atomico Ventures has raised a second funding round of US$165m to invest in early stage high-growth technology companies in Europe.
Atomico Ventures II will be invested in ‘outstanding management teams who address large market opportunities that leverage innovative business models and transformational technologies’.
The fund said that its partners had been joined by several top-tier institutions to raise the finance.
Established in 2006, London-based Atomico is best known for founding Skype.
