Executives at Mexican operator America Movil have said that they expect the tenders for Carso Global Telecom and Telmex International to be launched this month, having postponed the scheduled April timeline.
The Carlos Slim owned firms still need regulatory approval for the plan, but it is expected that the telco will receive the green light and the delay is merely down to paperwork issues.
Slim unveiled the plans to consolidate the companies in January.
