Private equity firm GMT Communications Partners has appointed Stefan Franssen as a partner.

German national Franssen joins GMT after eight years at Cinven and will work on all aspects of deal origination, investment management and portfolio company oversight.

At Cinven the English French and Spanish speaker was part of a TMT team focusing on digital media, traditional media, B2B and cable.

Franssen has also worked for Merrill Lynch and Gemini Consulting.
