Kuwait-based mobile operator Zain Group has restructured its executive management following the sale of its African assets to Bharti Airtel.
The company is now present in Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan where it serves over 31 million customers.
Group CEO Nabeel Bin Salamah stated that he expected the new appointments to ensure the company would take” full advantage of the growth opportunities in our markets and deliver financial targets to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.”
Under the restructuring, the following appointments were announced: Ossama Matta has been named as CFO, Cem Yolcu as Director of Strategy Barrak Al Sabeeh as COO, Haitham Al Khaled as CTO, Khaled Al Hajeri as CEO Advisor for KSA Affairs, Bashar Arafeh chief commercial officer, Lynne Dorward as chief regulatory officer, Andrew Arowojolu as director of business development, and Ina Rabieh as director of human resources.
Khalid Al Omar has been named CEO at Zain Kuwait and Emad Makiya as CEO at Zain Iraq.
