South African ISP and telecoms operator Vox Telecom is reportedly looking for a buyer. A teaser has already been sent to potentially interested parties.
Vox Telecom CEO Jacques Du Toit was quoted saying that the management team support the project initiated by its main shareholders Investec, Lereko Metier Capital and RMB.
Vox Telecom could not be reached to confirm details of the process.
According to local publication BusinessTech, the sale would be for 100% of the company.
Vox Telecom was formed in 1998 and provides alternative voice solutions, data access as well as ISP and cloud services to businesses across South Africa.
The South African telecoms market is currently witnessing a few deals, most notably the sale of fixed-line operator Neotel to leading wireless player Vodacom for around US$680m.
Simultaneously, Telkom is buying a local ICT company, Business Connexion, while MTN is taking control of ISP Afrihost.
