Vodafone Deutschland has appointed former Kabel Deutschland (KDG) executive Christoph Clement as the new director of legal and regulatory affairs of the combined company.
Clement starts his new role on 1 June, succeeding Thomas Wandres, who is pursuing a new professional path, Vodafone said in a statement.
Clement joined the KDG management team in 2005, most recently serving as head of legal, regulatory and public affairs.
Before joining the cableco, he was executive director of corporate services at local mobile operator E-Plus.
Vodafone CEO Jens Schulte-Bockum said Clement’s appointment reflects the cooperation between the mobile and cable arms of the combined company at board level.
“With Dr Christoph Clement, we have gained a recognised legal and regulatory expert who is equally at home in the telecoms and cable sectors.”
Vodafone acquired KDG last year in a deal that combined Germany’s second-largest mobile operator and largest cableco.
