The merger of Russian group VimpelCom and Ukraine’s Kyivstar is underway to be completed in the first half, VimpelCom CEO Boris Nemsic was quoted saying in Reuters.
Last October, Telenor and Alfa Group announced the merger of the two companies with the new entity to be called VimpelCom Ltd.
If it goes ahead, Telenor will hold 38.84% of common shares and 35.42% of voting shares of VimpelCom Ltd, while Altimo will hold 38.46% and 43.89%. The free float will be 22.7% and 20.69% respectively.
