The regional government of Spain’s Andalusia Autonomous Community (Junta de Andalucia) has awarded network contracts worth almost E184.3m, according to reports.
Spanish incumbent Telefonica, UK-based mobile operator Vodafone, and a consortium comprising local solutions provider Magtel and Asian electronics firm Fujitsu, have reportedly been selected to manage the Andalusian regional government’s telecoms network.
The four-year agreement covers the development of its broadband network to meet the needs of health, education and justice departments.
