T-Mobile’s Czech Republic subsidiary has announced that it is ending its satellite TV service in the country.
In a statement, the company told existing customers that its service will come to an end on 1 December 2014 and that they will subsequently be transferred to the Skylink DTH platform.
T-Mobile’s pay-TV offering has been operating via Skylink’s infrastructure since it was launched in late 2010 so the transfer will not require subscribers to change their subscription card, set-top box or satellite antenna.
T-Mobile did not give a reason for the termination of its service.
Skylink is owned by pan-European satellite TV provider M7 Group and broadcasts via SES’ Astra 3A satellite at 23.5E.
