France’s Orange (EPA:ORA) has made multiple changes to its senior management teams in Europe, including appointing a new deputy executive director for the region.
These changes follow a raft of new appointments across the business, announced last October, in line with the Paris-based telco’s ‘Essentiels2020’ strategic plan, to take effect from 1 March this year.
Orange said in a statement today that as of 1 May, Bruno Duthoit, currently CEO of Orange Polska, will take on the deputy executive director role with responsibility for Central Europe. He will report to Gervais Pellissier (pictured), deputy CEO and executive director for Europe.
There will also be three new country heads effective 1 May. Jean-François Fallacher, CEO of Orange Romania, will step into Duthoit’s shoes as head of Orange Polska; Liudmila Climoc, CEO of Orange Moldova, will take the helm of Orange Romania; and Julien Ducarroz, chief commercial officer of Orange Romania, will become CEO of Orange Moldova.
Pellissier said the changes reinforce “synergies between our operations across Europe”.
Orange has operations in seven European countries outside of France: Spain, Poland, Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova and Luxembourg.
The standout announcement last October was Bruno Mettling’s appointment as deputy CEO of Orange’s AMEA (Africa and the Middle East) unit, which puts him in charge of the region.
Laurent Paillassot, Orange’s deputy CEO of customer experience and mobile banking, is taking on the role of CEO of Orange Spain from 1 March.
Orange said its ‘Essentiels2020’ plan, unveiled in March 2015, “places customer experience at the heart of its strategy with the aim of allowing them to benefit fully from the digital universe and the power of its new generation networks”.
