Tele2 (STO:TEL2) has appointed Roman Volodin as CEO of Tele2 Kazakhstan and Petras Masiulis as head of Baltics. The news follows last week’s appointment of a new CFO and other country heads.
Volodin, who moves from Tele2 Russia, where he was responsible for marketing and development, joins as the Sweden-based telco prepares to merge its local division with that of Kazakhtelecom-owned Altel.
In the Baltics, Tele2 is present in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Last week, the company announced that Tele2 Lithuania had paid €13.7m (US$15.3m) for spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands.
