The executive manager of Telekom Austria’s Slovenian unit Si.mobil, Bostjan Skufca Zaversek, is leaving after 16 years with the company.
Zaversek is set to depart on 1 October to become a board member at pension company Prva Group, the Ljublanja-based operator said in a statement, adding that a successor will be announced shortly.
Zaversek started at Si.mobil as a student and held several roles before becoming CFO in October 2012. He served as acting CEO between March and August 2014 and took on his current role as executive manager on 1 May this year.
Dejan Turk, CEO of Telekom Austria’s Slovenian and Serbian businesses, said Zaversek had helped shape the Slovenian unit’s success and wished him well for the future.
The Austrian incumbent condensed its four Balkan units into two in April, combining Si.mobil with Vip Mobile and Croatian unit Vipnet with Macedonian subsidiary Vip Operator.
The move echoed those made by parent America Movil, which has pooled its operations in smaller countries into clusters.
