Russia’s Rostelecom has registered a five-year bond offering worth a total RUB40bn (US$1.2bn) with the Federal Financial Markets Service (FSFR Russia).
A company spokesperson confirmed the registration of the offering, saying the management team will determine when the bonds will be issued, taking into account market conditions and the cost of alternative financing sources.
In late March, Rostelecom announced its board had approved bond offerings worth a total Rbs100bn (US$3.5bn): exchange-traded three-year bonds totalling Rbs60bn (US$2.1bn) and exchange-traded five-year bonds totalling Rbs40bn (US$1.4bn).
At the time, the company said the proceeds would be used to refinance existing debt and fund strategic objectives.
