Greek incumbent Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) has made numerous key changes to its group general finanicial division, effective 1 January 2013.
While Babis Mazarakis retains his role as OTE group CFO, Georgios Mavrakis, formerly OTE CFO, will head up OTE group financial operations.
Emily Filippou-Klopfer, previously CFO of mobile division Cosmote, will lead OTE group procurement.
Evrikos Sarsentis will be in charge of OTE group mergers, acquisitions and special finance projects.
Panos Kaliabetsos will continue as head of OTE group capital management, while Dimitris Tzelepis and Nikos Chourdakis will retain their posts as heads of investor relations and OTE group customer finance respectively.
Additionally, former OTE chief technology and operations officer (CTOO) Elias Drakopoulos will become senior vice president ‘business excellence in Europe and technology board area of DT’. K Liamidis is acting as interim CTOO in addition to his post as chief officer of international affairs.
OTE was not immediately available for further comment.
The Greek telco is currently working to reduce debt that totalled €4.076bn at the end of the third quarter, down 21.4% from €5.187bn in Q3 2011. The company’s “integrated plan” to meet August 2015 debt obligations includes the sales of Bulgarian units Globul and Germanos and Greek satellite subsidiary Hellas Sat.
