Orascom of Egypt has appointed Khalid Ellaicy as chief financial officer, the company announced. Ellaicy will take over on 17 October, replacing Aldo Mareuse.
In the past Ellaicy worked for public accounting firms in the US and Egypt. In 1995 he was promoted to partner in the KPMG Egypt practice where he specialized in the
audit of telecommunication companies. He also worked for Zain as Group Finance Director and Mobinil, also as CFO, before joining Orascom.
Ahmed Abou Doma, Chief Executive Officer of OTH, commented: “Khalid has been part of the group for several years and we are confident that he will bring in his expertise as a new addition to OTH’s management team.”
