French incumbent operator Orange has hired Arnaud Castille as executive VP for mergers and acquisitions.
Castille joins from media and telecoms conglomerate Vivendi, where he has held several roles since 2001. He was a VP of Vivendi’s strategy department since 2005, and CFO of its Maroc Telecom subsidiary from 2006 to 2012.
Last year he returned to the parent company as a director in the M&A department.
Castille replaces Vincent Benoit, who had been Orange’s head of strategy and planning since 2009, and head of M&A since May 2011.
Benoit had left Orange at the beginning of the year to work for La Mancha, a gold producer with mines in Australia and Africa, as executive VP strategy & business development.
