A consortium led by Citigroup was the only candidate to advise Serbia on the sale of a 40% stake in Telekom Srbija, according to media reports.
The tender commission is expected to decide whether it accepts the financial offer within the next two weeks.
In March, the Serbian authorities announced their intention to sell half the state’s 80% stake in the telecoms incumbent.
The remaining 20% stake is held by Greece’s OTE. Deutsche Telekom, which controls OTE, has already expressed its interest in taking part in the tender for the 40% stake.
The authorities were not immediately available for comments.
