The Satellite Users Interference Reduction Group (SUIRG), an organisation working to reduce satellite frequency interference, has revamped its imaged and renamed itself Satellite IRG.
It has also appointed a new executive director, Martin Coleman, president of Colem Communications. “Our efforts are all aimed at driving the organization forward, with better global reach and with the ultimate goal of eradicating interference before it starts,” said Coleman, who has been working with SUIRG for many years, in a statement.
New directors have also been appointed: Andreas Voigt, manager for Communications Systems at Eutelsat; Guido Baraglia, business development manager at Integral Systems Europe; Patricia Constantino, director of Intelsat’s RF operations department; Howard Feldman, senior director, network operations and engineering at Inmarsat; Hector Fortis, director of regulatory and international affairs at Satmex; and Steven Smith, senior operations coordination manager at SES.
