Nineteen companies have reportedly bought the tender documents for the sale of a third mobile licence in Mozambique.
Bids must be submitted by June 21.
The minimum price of the 15-year licence has been set at US$25m.
State-owned Mcel and Vodafone-owned Vodacom are currently the two operators providing mobile services to less than six millions subscribers out of a population of 23 million.
The regulator was not immediately available for comments.
