Richard Cumbley has been appointed global head of TMT and intellectual property at Linklaters.
Richard Cumbley has been appointed global head of TMT and intellectual property at Linklaters.
The technology and data privacy specialist became a partner at Linklaters in 2007, going on to become TMT and business services head.
He has recently led teams advising Barclays, Deloitte, Hyatt Hotels, BT and the administrators of Lehman Brothers on data protection and information governance projects.
He has also worked on IT-related issues with clients including PwC, British Gas, JP Morgan, RBS, KPMG and Sainsbury’s.
Succeeding John Crozier, Cumbley will serve a four-year term. Crozier will remain with Linklaters as a parnter within the TMT and IP team, specialising in outsourcing.
