Kosovo’s government has reportedly approved a plan to sell 75% of postal and telecoms operator PTK.
TelecomFinance sources have valued the operator at E300m to E350m.
The privatisation plan is based on a recommendation by an inter-ministerial group, but it still needs to be ratified by the Kosovan assembly to go ahead.
As previously reported in TelecomFinance ten companies attended the investor conference organised last March in Pristina. The meeting attracted T-Hrvatski Telekom, Magyar Telekom, Telekom Austria, Turk Telekom, Turkcell, Calik Group, Cable & Wireless, Orascom, Axos Capital Partners and Bedminster Capital.
Kosovo is advised by a consortium of Telco AG and law firm Wolf Theiss.
In 2009, the operator posted E62.8m EBITDA.
The authorities were not immediately available for comments.
