Milind Kangle has left his position as CEO of London-based Lycamobile after leading the MVNO since its creation in 2006.
He was replaced this week by company veteran Chris Tooley, who was previously responsible for MVNO development, corporate governance, compliance and international affairs.
Lycamobile has also promoted longstanding COO Premananthan Sivasamy to deputy chairman, reporting directly to group chair Subaskaran Allirajah.
Kangle teamed up with Allirajah in 2003 to create Lycatel, a global prepaid calling card brand. Three years later they formed Lycamobile, which now boasts 30 million customers across 17 countries.
No explanation was given for Kangle’s departure and his future plans are not known. Milind Kangle could not be reached for comment.
