Franco-American vendor Alcatel-Lucent has appointed Gianluca Baini, formerly the group’s global account director for mobile operator Vodafone, as chairman and CEO of its Italian division.
As head of Alcatel-Lucent Italia, Baini will be responsible for the group’s activities in Mediterranean countries.
He replaces Stefano Lorenzi, who will pursue undisclosed opportunities outside the company.
