Ukrtelecom has signed a seven-year, US$50m loan with China Development Bank (CDB) and Huawei. The funds will enable it to modernise network equipment in six major cities.
Ukrtelecom has signed a seven-year, US$50m loan with China Development Bank (CDB) and Huawei. The funds will enable it to modernise network equipment in six major cities.
“Huawei is ready to share its international experience and advanced equipment to support Ukrtelecom,” said Huawei Ukraine director Miao Xiaoyan.
Ukrtelecom CEO Yuri Kurmaz said: “Thanks to this agreement, Ukrtelecom will be prepared to make significant investments in fixed-line infrastructure.”
The telco has indicated that it plans to start its modernisation project in early 2016.
