ING has promoted Singapore-based banker Krishna Suryanarayanan to head of TMT finance in Asia Pacific to replace Ranesh Verma, who was elevated to a global role in September.
ING has promoted Singapore-based banker Krishna Suryanarayanan to head of TMT finance in Asia Pacific.
Suryanarayanan succeeds Ranesh Verma who became head of global TMT financing two months ago after seven years in the Asia Pacific post.
Suryanarayanan is currently ING’s regional managing director of structured finance, and prior to that he spent five years as director of structured finance for TMT across Asia.
In his new role, Suryanarayanan will report hierarchically to Basheer Buhari, regional head of lending services Asia and functionally to Verma, according to an internal ING memo seen by TelecomFinance.
Suryanarayanan has been in banking for more than 20 years and with ING since 2008.
“Over the last 7 years he has been a productive member of the TMT Asia management team providing an invaluable contribution to the growth and high profile enjoyed by the TMT Asia business in recent years,” ING said.
He has provided financing advice on Asia Pacific towercos in Australia, India, Indonesia and Myanmar.
