Swedish equipment supplier Ericsson has acquired US-Spanish vendor Optimi for an undisclosed sum.
No terms were disclosed by either company, but it is understood that Ericsson paid in cash for the 200-staff company, with no outside advisor being used.
According to Ericsson, the acquisition delivers further capability to its multi-vendor network business,
“The Optimi portfolio complements our existing OSS portfolio, which today is largely deployed among networks managed by Ericsson,” said Magnus Mandersson, head of business unit global services at Ericsson.
