Brazilian telco Embratel, a subsidiary of America Movil, has completed the takeover of satellite operator Star One by acquiring a 20% stake in the company.
In a stock exchange announcement, America Movil said Embratel had acquired the 20% stake, bringing its total stake in Star One up to 100%.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The stake was sold by GE Satellite Holdings, a subsidiary of GE Capital.
When the deal was first announced, GE said that it was not using any outside advisers on the deal.
