German incumbent Deutsche Telekom has appointed Roland Mahler as an interim director responsible for Europe to replace Guido Kerkhoff, who is leaving the company, according to German newspaper Handelsblatt.
In Mid-February, it was announced that Kerkhoff would step down. In the meantime, German industrial conglomerate ThyssenKrupp announced the appointment of Kerkhoff as CFO to replace Alan Hippe as of 31 March 2011.
According to Handelsblatt, Mahler will serve as Deutsche Telekom’s Europe director until a permanent successor is found. Mahler served as managing director of T-Mobile Czech Republic until January 2011 when he retired, according to the newspaper.
Deutsche Telekom declined to comment.
