Comstar-Regions, the fixed-line unit of Russian operator MTS, has bought regional alternative operator Lanck Telecom.
MTS acquired Lanck Telecom, an operator providing internet and fixed-line services to corporate clients in St Petersburg, from a group of private investors. The acquisition was Rbs547.4m (E13.7m) and Lanck Telecom has a net debt of Rbs227.6m (E5.7m).
Lanck Telecom has about 8,000 broadband internet subscribers and 5,000 fixed-line subscribers.
