US operator Clearwire has launched its mobile WiMAX service in Los Angeles, Miami and Ohio.
The new 4G service, known as CLEAR, covers 11 million people in the Los Angeles area, the company said in a statement on the CLEAR website on Monday. The network will also cover 3.8 million people around Miami and a further 3.8 million in Ohio.
It plans to extend the service to San Francisco by late December.
