BT has increased its pay offer to staff in a bid to prevent strikes, according to reports.
Under the new offer, BT is now offering a two-year deal which would give workers a 2% pay rise the first year and a 3% rise the second year.
According to the BBC, staff would also be eligible to receive annual bonuses of £250m.
Other measures include moving call centres back to the UK, and promising to end compulsory redundancies until the end of 2011.
The offer however is below the 5% demanded by the Communication Workers Union.
