Belarus has received a financial support of SFr70,000 from the International Telecommunications Union for the development of broadband internet access in rural areas, e-belarus.org reports.
First deputy minister of communications and informatisation Ivan Rak was quoted saying that the project aims to provide people with online social services.
He reportedly added that the project would provide easy access to information resources as well as experience in the information and communication technologies.
