Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has named Joao Batista de Rezende as new president for the board of telecoms regulator Anatel.
Rezende has been on the board of Anatel since 2009. He has worked previously as the chief of staff at the Brazilian Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management and as the president of regional telco Sercomtel.
Rezende’s mandate will run until November 2013.
