Alcatel-Lucent has won an equipment supply contract linked to Australia’s multibillion dollar National Broadband Network (NBN).
The Franco-American giant has been selected by Nextgen Networks, which itself was recently awarded a US$250m contract to deliver backhaul links into major regional centres, to supply the equipment.
Alcatel will also provide network management services from Sydney.
