Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani has announced his resignation as president commissioner of Indonesian telecoms and satellite operator Indosat.
The company said it has 60 days to convene a general meeting of shareholders after accepting the resignation letter on 16 December to decide its next steps.
Earlier this month, Al Thani was appointed as the new head of Qatar’s sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority.
He is also chairman of Qatar-based telco Ooredoo, which owns 65% of Indosat. Indonesia’s government has a 4.29% stake.
