Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has agreed to sell 49% of its ISP Ecoweb to Liquid Telecommuncations Holdings for US$70m, according to media reports.
Econet chairman Tawanda Nyambira was quoted saying that the new investor would also provide additional funding for the roll-out of fibre-optic infrastructure.
Liquid Telecom provides wholesale international carrier services in developing countries.
The companies did not respond to a request for comment before press time.
