Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has closed syndication of its A$3bn (US$2.6bn) refinancing loan.
VHA, formed through a merger between Vodafone Australia and Hutchison’s 3 last year, will use the three-year financing to replace a shareholder loan and the funds will be used to give a ‘new capital structure’ and offer the chance to ‘pursue further growth options in the Australian market’.
The following twelve banks participated in the deal: ANZ, Banco Santander, Bank of Scotland, BBVA, BNP Paribas, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, HSBC, ING, Intesa Sanpaolo, National Australia Bank, SMBC and Westpac.
