Urals-based cable operator Yugratel is expected to be auctioned in November or December, Telegeography reports quoting local media Kommersant.
The local authorities in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District and the city of Surgut, which owns 72.13% and 27.87% respectively in the cableco, have reportedly set the starting price at Rbs2.145bn (US$67m).
National operators Rostelecom and the three largest mobile operators in the country, MTS, MegaFon and VimpelCom are reportedly interested in the cable operators.
The parties were not immediately available for comments.
